2024 aluminum plate introduced in 1931, alloy 2024 was the first Al-Cu-Mg alloy to have a yield strength approaching 50,000-psi. With its good fatigue resistance, especially in thick plate forms, aluminum alloy 2024 T3 T351 continues to be utilized for many aerospace structural components.

 

2024-T3 Bare Aluminum Sheet/plate is commonly used when a high strength to weight ratio is necessary, such as structural applications in aircraft industry and motor sports.  Non-magnetic and heat-treatable.
